Vacancies
What: Early Years Apprentice (Level 3)
Where: The Village Pre-School, Upham, The New Millennium Village Hall, Mortimers Lane, Lower Upham, Southampton. SO32 1HF
When: Tuesdays 7.00am - 12.30pm, Thursdays 7.00am - 5.00pm, Fridays 8.30am - 5.00pm (24 hours per week, Term Time only, with a potential for additional hours).
Pay: Permanent, Zero hours contract, starting at £12.21 per hour (National Living Wage). THIS POSITION IS CONDITIONAL ON THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF YOUR APPRENTICESHIP.
Qualifications: None required. Must be willing to undertake Early Years Educator (Level 3).
About the role: To train towards a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification while supporting our small, dedicated team in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating early years environment.
Your responsibilities will include:

Support in the planning and delivery of a stimulating early years curriculum.

Assist with setting up and packing away resources each day.

Support the Key Person system and build trusting relationships with children and families.

Observe and record children’s interests and development with support from your mentor

Support children with personal care routines (e.g. toileting, dressing, snack time)

Maintain confidentiality and follow safeguarding procedures
-
Attend training sessions, meetings and complete coursework tasks

Carry out any other reasonable duties in line with the Pre-Schools ethos
Additional Requirements:

Interest in working with young children

Kind, patient and proactive attitude

Commitment to completing the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship

Reliable, motivated and a good team player

Willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS Check and subscribe to the Update Service
