We're a small, independent Pre-School with a long-established team at the heart of our village community. We believe good early years educators should be trusted to use their knowledge, experience and professional judgement - and given the support and opportunities to keep developing.
Why do I want to work for you?
We know you're asking, and we hear you. Picking the right fit for you and your needs is just as important as us picking the right candidate for the job. Here are the things we can tell you...
Term-Time Working
You don't need to worry about being called in over the school holidays, we're term-time only.
When the children break up, so do we.
So, that's the school holidays with your family sorted.
Small, Established Team
There aren't many of us, and we like it that way. You'll get to know everyone you work with, and definitely won't be employee #472 in a giant nursery chain.
Have a nose at our team here, and see who you'd be working alongside.
Professional Autonomy
You're a qualified professional. We'll treat you like one.
We trust our staff to use their knowledge, experience and professional judgement in their day-to-day practice.
We won't tell you exactly how to do every part of your job or stand over your shoulder while you do it. We'll give you the support you need, and the space to get on with it.
Training and Development
Spotted a course you'd like to do? Ask us!
We can't promise we'll say yes to everything, (sadly our bank account has opinions too), but if it's useful to you, the children or the setting we'll do what we can to make it happen.
Your development shouldn't stop just because you've got the qualification.
Opportunities to Develop
Small setting doesn't have to mean nowhere to go.
Whether there's an area of early years you'd like to take the lead on, an additional responsibility that interests you, or you'd eventually like to move into management, tell us where you want to go.
We can't magic up vacancies (we wish we could) but we can help you develop towards them.
Team Work Makes the Dream Work
We don't believe all the good ideas come from the top (to be honest we're out of brain power some days...)
If you've spotted something we can do better, want to try something new or have an idea that sounds slightly bonkers but might just work, we want to hear it!
Some of our best changes have started with "I've been thinking..."
We don't expect everyone to be the same (where would be the fun in that!) but there are some things that matter to us.
We like people who are reliable, get stuck in, share ideas, communicate openly and take pride in what they do. We're a small team, so being able to work together matters; as does being able to use your initiative without waiting to be told what to do.
We take our responsibilities seriously, but that doesn't mean we take ourselves seriously...most of the time.

To comply with section 3.57 of the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework, all of our paid and voluntary positions are open to anyone over the age of 17 years old.
To comply with section 3.17 of the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework, all applicants, whether to paid or voluntary positions "must disclose any information which may affect their suitability to work with children, including but not limited to, arrests, charges, convictions, cautions, court orders, reprimands and warnings (whether received before or during their employment at the setting)." (Department for Education, 2026). Failure to notify us of this information will result in the termination of the recruitment process, and a report made to the Disclosures and Barring Service.
